Features

We at WLT generate water based on an AWG technology (atmospheric water generation). Liquid absorption gives us the opportunity to flexibly scale up the water production at ultra pure quality. Almost everywhere.

We do not see ourselves as a technology that displaces others. Rather, we are expanding the water supply, sustainably. Besides and in addition to the existing technologies like ground water and seawater desalination.

Technology

The ambient air, sucked by a fan, is brought into contact with a hygroscopic salt solution. This binds part of the water from the air and heats it in the next step, desorption. Here, the highly purified water is separated from the salt for further use, which is recycled in concentrated form. The salt solution is practically a loss-free component of the absorption circuit.

The technical process allows water production down to a humidity of 10%. Certification of the WLT absorption unit as well as the overall product are scheduled for summer 2023. Quantities of 100 or even more than 1,000 liters per second (or 3,600 m³ per hour) are feasible.
